An Ohio-based company that makes dry ice cleaning and blasting systems has opened a sales and services location on Chilimark Street in Worcester.
Cold Jet’s new location will serve the New England market and was made possible through an agreement with Cryogenic Institute of New England, which has a facility at 78 Chilimark St. The Cold Jet office will be headed by Robin Rhodes, president of the institute. The partnership will also result in the sale of high-density dry ice to the New England market.
Dry ice is a key ingredient in cryogenic treatment of metals, which uses extremely cold temperatures to increase strength, relieve stress and smooth surfaces.
