Downtown Natick HR firm buys headquarters for $5.3M

A downtown Natick firm, which uses technology to help firms improve their employee benefits and HR compliance, has purchased the site of its headquarters for $5.3 million.

MainSummer LLC, an entity sharing management and an address with BenefitScape, purchased 25 Main St. and 35 Main St. in a single transaction on March 3, according to Middlesex South Registry of Deeds records.

The four-story building at 25 Main St. is home to BenefitScape’s offices, as well as retail tenants on the first floor, while 35 Main St. is a two-story building home to both offices and retail space. Both parcels were purchased from JBG Corp. of Natick.

BenefitScape was co-founded by Kim Phillips in 2014 and specializes in human resources compliance and optimization, according to its website.

Both buildings were originally constructed in the late 1800s, according to Town of Natick property records. Combined, the two properties were given a 2025 tax assessment value of $2.5 million.
