Fourth-quarter revenue for Dover Saddlery of Littleton jumped nearly 14 percent over the same quarter in 2012, according to preliminary data the equestrian products retailer released Tuesday.
Dover said it took in about $30.3 million in revenue for the quarter, which ended Dec. 31. That represented a jump of 13.8 percent. Revenue from the company’s retail channel jumped 22.6 percent to about $13.1 million, while direct-channel revenue grew 7.8 percent to approximately $17.2 million.
The company’s president and CEO, Stephen L. Day, cited successful seasonal promotions during the quarter as a key to the results, “particularly in light of the short holiday season. In addition, improvements made to our online channel throughout the year yielded impressive results in the fourth quarter," he said in a statement.
Day said Dover will report fourth-quarter and full-year results March 7.
