Littleton-based Dover Saddlery Inc., a retailer specializing in equestrian equipment, has been named one of the Top 50 Retail Web Sites by Internet Retailer Magazine.
Those companies honored by the magazine were chosen for their willingness to innovate and establish benchmarks for the industry, said Kurt Peters, editor-in-chief of Internet Retailer. Dover Saddlery's site makes it possible for shoppers to shop for equipment by riding style, as well by product category and keyword. The site also features live help and a wishlist registry.
Dover Saddlery CEO Stephen Day noted that its customers readily use the web to make purchases, and creating a superior shopping experience is essential.
"Our customers are increasingly using our website to shop, and we strive to offer the very best online shopping experience for equestrians."
