Double-Take Software Inc., a Southborough-based data recovery and replication software company, revised revenue figures for the first quarter of 2010 downward and announced that company officials are mulling an offer to be acquired.
In a statement the company announced it is reviewing an unsolicited written indication from another company that showed interest in acquiring Double-Take.
As for the financials, software license sales were up from last year, but not as much as company officials were expecting. Revenues for the first quarter are expected to be between $18.8 million and $18.9 million as opposed to original expectations of between $20 million and $21.2 million. The company expects to have a $500,000 to $600,000 loss for the quarter.
The company posted a $13.4 million profit on $83 million in revenues for all of 2009.
Full financial data for the first quarter of 2010 will be released on May 4.
