Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. remains the industry leader in external and networked disk storage systems, an industry that grew 12.2 percent in the second quarter, according to Framingham-based International Data Corp.For the quarter, revenues for the entire disk storage systems market grew to nearly $7.5 billion, which was 10.2 percent higher than the second quarter of 2010.
Total capacity shipped grew by 46.7 percent year-over-year.
EMC had a 21.6 percent share of the total disk storage market, up from 18.9 percent a year ago. The company’s revenues grew 26 percent year-over-year.
