Director Named For Employment Law Task Force

The state Office of Labor and Workforce Development has appointed Drew Cahill as director of the Joint Enforcement Task Force on the Underground Economy and Employee Misclassification.

The task force was established by Gov. Deval Patrick in 2008. It is a collaboration between about a dozen state agencies.

Cahill spent four years as a policy advisor in the state attorney general’s office.

As task force director, Cahill will be responsible for establishing a joint task force advisory council to “expand on the existing dialogue between the JTF and its stakeholders,” the labor office said.
