Diligent Technologies tapped by US AFB
Diligent Technologies has been chosen by a U.S. Air Force Base near Colorado Springs to provide data backup and restore services through its ProtecTIER software platform.
Framingham-based Diligent specializes in enterprise data protection solutions, and installed its flagship ProtecTIER data de-duplication software for the unit's classified backup and restore operations.
The base itself provides a data center in support of several Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs. Critical MDA programs are stationed there, including advanced modeling and simulation systems for the National Missile Defense System.
Abba Technologies, the firm responsible for integration and support services, chose Diligent for its product offerings. "We are pleased with the success of Diligent's ProtecTIER at the unit," said Ken Payne, chief technologist with Abba. "It has made a world of difference in their storage environment."
