A New Hampshire-based hotel owner and operator has announced plans to bring a Hilton hotel to Marlborough-Berlin area.
In a statement, Roedel Cos. said it’s seeking approval to build a Homewood Suites by Hilton with Riverbridge North LLC at a mixed-use development behind Solomon Pond Mall.
The companies made an initial presentation to the Berlin Planning Board this week. If approved, the hotel would be part of The Riverbridge, which will have condominiums, apartments and senior housing, all developed by Riverbridge North. The development would also include a 5,000-square-foot restaurant adjacent to the hotel. About 70,000 square feet of the development will include office and retail space, a market, pharmacy, gas station/convenience store and daycare facility.
The 109-room hotel would open in 2015 and feature one- and two-bedroom suites as well as studio suites, each with a fully furnished kitchen and full-size refrigerator, Roedel said. It will offer free, high-speed Internet access, a business center, workout facility and pool.
RGH Hospitality, an affiliate of Roedel, manages hotel brands La Quinta Inns & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn hotels, Hampton Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express. It also manages several independent hotels and government lodging facilities, Roedel said.
