The owners of 12 Crane St. in downtown Southbridge will celebrate the completion of the massive refurbishment project there with a ribbon-cutting Friday.
The massive, silver-painted building was once home to a dog food factory and other warehouse and industrial uses. Developer J. Gabriel McCarthy recently completed several affordable apartments on the building’s top floor. State Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Worcester, and state Rep. Geraldo Alicea, D-Charlton, as well as other state officials are expected to attend the ribbon-cutting.
The apartments, which are handicapped accessible, top a building that also houses a brewery, a tavern, a café, law offices, a direct mailing company and a night club.
The ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 10 a.m.
