Achieve TMS East, a depression treatment practice specializing in magnetic stimulation of the brain, has opened in Westborough, its seventh location.
The facility, at 45 Lyman St., officially opened after a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday night. Representatives from the town, Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce and State Rep. Carolyn Dykema were on hand for the event.
The company offers Brainsway’s Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, which it calls a non-invasive, 20-minute outpatient treatment of depression stimulating parts of the brain involved in depression.
Patients are able to drive home and return to their daily routine after treatment, the company said in a press release.
Following the opening, the company plans to host open houses monthly in the Westborough office.
Other locations are in Northampton, Holyoke, Springfield, Amherst, Worcester and Pittsfield.
