Dell has rebranded itself as the Texas company moves closer to a $67-billion merger with Hopkinton’s EMC Corp.
The new name of Dell Technologies Inc. was made official in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday. The company had announced it would rebrand in connection with its acquisition of EMC.
In that acquisition, EMC shareholders voted in favor of the deal, but it still faces final regulatory hurdles. After the acquisition, EMC will be removed from public trading as it becomes part of the privately owned Dell.
