Definitive Healthcare buys Florida analytics firm

Definitive Healthcare, a Framingham healthcare data provider, has purchased a Florida software analytics firm.
The acquisition of PatientFinder in Plantation, Fla. is expected to help life science companies and healthcare providers find patients who would benefit from their products and services.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Definitive’s clients, which include pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and more than 2,500 healthcare providers, IT, staffing and consulting firms, use the firm’s services to reach revenue generating objectives, the firm said.
PatientFinder technology allows clients to find patients by analyzing their diagnosis and treatment history and match it with physicians and facilities who provide care to those patients, the firm said.
This is the second acquisition for Definitive Healthcare in the past year. Last January, the company purchased HIMSS Analytics, a Vermont healthcare data provider.
Definitive Healthcare employs 400 people.
