DCU To Host Mass. Democrats In '14

Worcester’s DCU Center will host next year’s Democratic State Convention, party leaders and arena management announced Tuesday.
The convention will be held June 13 and 14 and will endorse candidates for statewide offices, among them the convention’s choice to succeed outgoing governor Deval Patrick. It will be the ninth time the DCU Center has been chosen as the site for a convention by the Democrats.
The event is estimated to attract up to 10,000 delegates, staff, volunteers and guests to the downtown area.
