Worcester’s DCU Center will host a job fair as it seeks to fill more than 100 part-time positions.
The fair will be held Monday from 1 to 6:30 p.m. in the convention center part of the downtown facility.
DCU, which is owned by the City of Worcester and managed by Philadelphia-based SMG, said the need for new workers stems from a busy events schedule as well as new amenities that are part of a $23-million renovation and expansion the venue is undergoing. In addition to a new digital marquee, building façade, expanded concourse and redesigned box office pavilion, the DCU Center will have additional restrooms, retail space and a new lounge.
Applicants are being sought for the 2013-2014 events season to fill roles of security guards; changeover laborers; housekeepers; box office ticket sellers; concession workers; money room supervisors; warehouse employees; banquet servers; bartenders; café workers; cooks; dishwashers; and food and beverage supervisors.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and available to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends. Click here for more information.
