The DCU Center in Worcester will again be used as a coronavirus field hospital, meaning one of the facility's retail tenants, retailer Worcester Wares, has to make way.
State officials and UMass Memorial Health Care announced Friday the DCU Center will be converted into a medical facility with plans to start accepting patients around Dec. 6.
"Which means we have to move again," Worcester Wares Owner Jessica Walsh said in an Instagram video Friday.
The move will take Worcester Wares, which sells city-themed apparel and other goods, about a block away, from its location on Commercial Street to 303 Main St. The store will continue curbside pick-up at the new location, Walsh said.
Worcester Wares' location at the Worcester Public Market in Kelley Square has been temporarily closed.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this story incorrectly said Worcester Wares is doing curbside pickup at its DCU Center location. The store's curbside pickup is at 303 Main St.
