Davis Advertising announced Thursday it has merged with Providence-based Community Bank Marketing Solutions as the company continues to expand into the financial advertising world.
The merger will have Davis Advertising continue to operate out of Worcester under the same name, although five employees of Community Bank Marketing Solutions, including its president, Bill Dewitt, will be brought on. Community Bank Marketing Solutions was a boutique agency specializing in financial marketing throughout the Northeast.
Davis Advertising was founded in 1948 and following the merger will have 45 employees, said Davis Advertising President Andy Davis.
Under the agreement, Davis will continue to be the company’s president and Dewitt will serve as the vice president of the company’s financial services division.
“Bill has a great history of working in the financial world,” said Davis. “He had a lot of talent in the financial world and it is a field we are growing in. He had a lot of accounts in the financial business and we felt that we could grow that business faster together.”
