A Danish manufacturer of high-end wireless speakers has set up shop in Framingham, it announced.
Libratone Inc. has opened an office at 1257 Worcester Rd. The company, which makes speakers that can play music from smartphones or PCs wirelessly (and sells wool and cashmere speaker covers in a variety of colors), also announced the opening of a San Francisco-area office, the hiring of a new vice president of sales for North America and the addition of automaker Audi as a retail partner.
Libratone has Android and Apple apps that allow users to control the speakers from their phones.
Speaker prices on the company’s website range from $400 to $1,200.
