IBA Inc., a Millbury-based supplier of dairy farm equipment, will be relocating to a new 70,000-square-foot facility in Sutton with the purchase of the property for just under $2 million.
The family-owned company, located in Millbury since the 1960s, closed Friday on the $1.95 million purchase for 103 Gilmore Drive in Sutton for $1.95 million.
The Sutton Planning Board approved the project in July.
When reached by phone, Vice President Robert Belsito confirmed the move but declined to speak further about the family business.
The move will double the space the company currently has at its 27 Providence St. facility in Millbury.
In April, the company told Sutton officials it would be adding two full-time jobs and ring its 46 current employees to Sutton.
The building is being constructed in the last lot of the South Sutton Industrial Park next to Primetals, which is currently relocating from Worcester and constructing a $28 million facility.
IBA's expansion is expected to cost $8.5 million, with a 15-year tax break from Sutton projected to save the company $747,000 on its taxes, according to a state approval of the tax agreement in June.
