Westford-based Cynosure Inc. announced that Timothy W. Baker was promoted to president, effective Aug. 1.
The cosmetic laser maker voted to appoint Baker president last month, according to a statement. Baker is also the cosmetic laser maker’s chief financial officer and will continue to serve in that role, Cynosure said. He has been with the company since 2004.
Michael Davin, chairman and CEO of Cynosure, formerly held the title of president.
Davin said in a statement that Baker played an important role in the company’s recent acquisition of Palomar Medical Technologies, which was based in Burlington. The company moved Palomar’s Burlington operations to its Westford headquarters this year and expanded its headquarters to accommodate about 150 new employees.
“His operational skills and business expertise were keys to successfully completing the integration in just 12 months. We congratulate Tim on this well-deserved promotion,” Davin said.
