Cybex Turns Profit Despite Sales Decline

Medway-based exercise equipment maker Cybex International Inc. said it managed a fourth quarter profit of $1 million despite a 12 percent revenue decrease.
In the same quarter the previous year, the company lost $10.9 million and reported revenue of $39.3 million. In the fourth quarter of 2009, the company's revenues totaled $34.8 million.
For the year, the company lost $2.4 million compared to a loss of $9.1 million the previous year. Revenue for the year was $120.5 million compared to $147.9 million for 2008, a 19 percent decrease.
