Cybex Gets Spot on Russell Index
Russell Investments has posted its list of companies set to join or leave the U.S. broad-market Russell 3000 Index and Russell Microcap Index this month, with Medway-based Cybex being a new addition.
For the Russell Global Index, which includes approximately 10,000 securities in 47 countries covering 98 percent of the investable global market, 774 companies will be added, 12 of which are in Massachusetts.
According to Russell Investments, a global asset manager firm with $155 billion in assets under management, key measures of market size are lower this year due to market performance over the past year. The combined capitalization of stocks in the Russell 3000 will decrease from $16.7 trillion on May 31, 2011 to $15.8 trillion as of May 31, 2012.
