CWE Receives $10K Grant For Training

The Center for Women & Enterprise, which has an office on Elm Street in Worcester, has received a $10,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation.

The grant is intended to increase access to entrepreneurial training for women in the Greater Boston Area and in Worcester.

According to CWE, the number of women-owned firms with multiple employees is growing at four times the rate of other businesses. Through its programs, CWE said it has helped to create more than 16,000 jobs in Massachusetts since 1995.

The Verizon grants will help CWE offer training courses to women who intend to start their own business.
