Tufts University, which operates the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Grafton, has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as having the 18th best veterinary science graduate program in the country.
Cummings led four other Central Massachusetts colleges and universities whose graduate school programs were ranked in the top 100 nationally in the ratings released Tuesday by the news outlet.
This is the first time in four years that the publication ranked master's programs in health care management, physician assistant/associate studies, rehabilitation counseling and veterinary medicine. U.S. News didn’t provide Cummings’ previous ranking from four years ago.
The other Central Massachusetts grad programs in the top 100 included Assumption University in Worcester being ranked 36th nationally in rehabilitation counseling.
UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester ranked 58th in biological sciences and 92nd in doctor of nursing practice. Overall medical school rankings have not yet been released for 2023.
Clark University in Worcester ranked 80th in clinical psychology and 97th in psychology.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute was ranked 92nd among engineering grad schools, down from 86th in 2022, while ranking 72nd in statistics and 97th in computer science.
Boston-based MCPHS University, which has a campus in Worcester, was ranked 85th for its physician assistant program and 99th for its pharmacy program.
