EG Group, whose American operations are based in Westborough, has entered into an agreement to acquire Colorado-based Schrader Oil.
The parent company of Cumberland Farms, Tom Thumb and Loaf ‘N Jug will rebrand the Colorado's firm 18 convenience retail stores and fuel stations in northern Colorado as Loaf ‘N Jug locations.
This acquisition for an undisclosed amount will add to the EG Group’s existing 88 Loaf 'N Jug convenience stores in Colorado and bring the company’s overall stores to over 1,700 across 33 states.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2020.
EG Group, based in Britain, acquired Cumberland Farms in 2019 for an undisclosed sum. Cumberland Farms had been owned and run by the Haseotes family since it opened its first store in 1957 in Bellingham.
