Randal Webber will be named Cornerstone Bank of Worcester’s next president, effective Jan. 1, the financial institution announced on Tuesday.
Webber currently serves as Cornerstone’s executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief lending officer. He will replace Todd Tallman, who will concurrently take over as CEO, per a September announcement from Cornerstone. Tallman is replacing retiring CEO Michael Robbins.
“His strategic and managerial skills go far beyond the lending discipline,” Tallman said of Webber in a statement. “I’ve found his insights on retail and digital banking to be invaluable -- not only in relation to our products and services, but also the professional development of our team members.”
Webber joined SpencerBANK in 2009 as senior vice president and chief risk officer, before being promoted in 2012 to executive vice president and chief lending officer. When SpencerBANK merged with Southbridge Savings Bank in 2016, forming Cornerstone Bank, Webber was named EVP and COO, according to Cornerstone.
