Cornerstone Bank of Worcester plans to open a loan center in Westborough next month, its first location in the town.
The new office, which is expected to open on Lyman Street during the first week of February, will provide quick loan decisions, the bank said Thursday.
“Residential loans are a niche for us, and this center offers us an opportunity to do what we do very well,” said Todd Tallman, Cornerstone’s president and treasurer.
Deposits among its 13 branches in Central Massachusetts have nearly tripled in the past decade to $900 million, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Cornerstone’s other locations are in Worcester, Webster, Warren, Sturbridge, Spencer, Southbridge, Rutland, Leicester, Holden and Charlton.
