Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank has promoted Douglas Schmeling to the role of senior vice president, chief credit officer with the bank, which also announced four other executive promotions.
Schmeling, who received his MBA from Nichols College in Dudley, has worked for the bank for 14 years, beginning with Spencer Savings Bank, which merged with Cornerstone in 2015, according to a Tuesday press release from Cornerstone.
Other promotions include Thomas Moschos, who was promoted to senior vice president, commercial lending. Moschos also worked with Spencer Saving Bank.
Jessica Johnson was promoted to vice president, senior marketing manager.
Erin McGinnis was promoted to vice president, customer service center manager.
Marcella Mosio was promoted to vice president, assistant controller. She has 25 years of experience with the bank, starting with a high school work/study program.
The Worcester Business Journal Research Department ranks Cornerstone tenth in Central Massachusetts by local deposits with $1.2 billion as of June 30. It has $1.5 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
