Personal consumption stayed level in February despite some growth in disposable income, according to a report from the U.S. Commerce Department released this morning.
In inflation-adjusted dollars, there was no change in customer spending in February, an increase of 0.1 percent in January and a decrease of 0.1 percent in December. Meanwhile, disposable income rose 0.5 percent in February and 0.4 percent for each of the two preceding months.
