Construction is complete on Boston-based GreenCare Collective’s new 100,000-square-foot cannabis facility at 12 Latti Farm Road in Millbury.
Cannabis cultivation, product manufacturing, and dispensary services will all take place at the facility. It features corporate office space, six, 9,500-square-foot grow rooms, cultivation process rooms, secure vault storage, a commercial kitchen for manufacturing edibles, and a 2,000-square-foot dispensary, which is expected to open in summer of 2022, according to Vantage Builders.
Wednesday morning, GreenCare Collective confirmed that they will be opening soon and will be medical only at first, but are seeking to provide adult-use.
Vantage Builders Inc. of Waltham was the general contractor for the project, converting the building from two manufacturing spaces into a grow facility. The project was the biggest cannabis project for the company.
“Vantage Builders has been part of the cannabis industry since it first started in Massachusetts,” said John Connor, principal of Vantage Builders in the press release. “GreenCare Collective’s cultivation facility is definitely one of the most complex projects we’ve worked on in the cannabis market. Our team’s years of experience in cannabis construction was critical to the success of the build.”
GreenCare Collective purchased the site in 2020 for $9.9 million, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds.
