Consigli Construction Co. Inc., a construction manager and general contractor based in Milford, has finalized its pre-construction planning period for the core and shell of the new Advanced Education and Clinical Practice Center (AECPC) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
After breaking ground last month, Consigli will enter the construction phase of the project following an extensive seven-month pre-construction planning stage. In that time, the team produced a variety of scheduling scenarios to reduce potential impacts on pedestrians, patients, and employees of the Medical School and UMass Memorial employees.
Among other pre-construction developments, the team also began seeking permitting approvals with city and state agencies, as well as providing continuing estimates to finalize a guaranteed maximum price.
Consigli is collaborating with Boston-based Payette Associates under a design/build contract. The AECPC is slated for completion by Q3 of 2008.
