Springtide Child Development, a Connecticut-based child health care center focusing on children on the autism spectrum, plans on opening a new location in Shrewsbury on Monday.
Founded in 2020 by Jia Jia Ye, Springtide aims to to concentrate on applied behavior analysis, occupational and speech therapy, along with other skill services meant to improve the livelihoods of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
“After receiving a diagnosis of autism families are often left overwhelmed and confused, not sure what to do next or what the future holds for their child and their family,” Ye states on the company’s website. “Our mission at Springtide is to become a trusted partner every step of their individual journey.”
The Shrewsbury location is the fifth overall Springtide location, with three other locations in Connecticut, and an additional new center in Dedham.
The opening of the location coincides with April being Autism Awareness Month. The center is looking to promote this fact, as well as the fact that 1 in 44 children are diagnosed with the disorder, during its ribbon cutting ceremony for the Shrewsbury location.
