The nonprofit Community Harvest Project, based in Grafton, has named Vittoria Buerschaper as the organization's new executive director, making permanent a role Buerschaper held on an interim basis, according to a Friday announcement.
Buerschaper has been with Community Harvest since 2015 and held a variety of roles during that time.
"Tori is uniquely qualified to guide us as we educate community members about food insecurity and work with them to resolve this issue,” said David Guarino, chair of CHP's board of directors, in a statement.
The last permanent executive director at CHP was Cordelia Lyon, who now works at Boston online retailer Wayfair, according to her LinkedIn profile.
CHP grew, harvested, and donated more than 274,000 pounds of produce in 2020, providing food to 413,053 people, per CHP.
"We will continue to engage and educate our wonderful volunteers to grow fruits and vegetables so as to provide hunger relief in our community," Buerschaper said.
