Community Foundation of North Central Mass. launches racial equity grants

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, in Fitchburg, announced on Tuesday the forthcoming launch of a new Racial Equity Grant Program, which will officially open on Monday, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The grant program will distribute $58,500 in grants to nonprofits working in the 33 communities of North Central Massachusetts, per the announcement. Selected grantees will be those which serve and empower communities of color and address systemic and institutional racism, including through youth empowerment, social justice, and racial bias education.
Grants will range from $2,000 to $10,000. An informational session is scheduled for Jan. 18. Questions may be sent to Meghan Maceiko at mmaceiko@cfncm.org.
