Contract manufacturer Columbia Tech has expanded its manufacturing capabilities with a new 70,000-square-foot location in Westborough.
The facility at 10 Otis St. is nearby its current 27 Otis St. headquarters and once served as one of the company’s warehouses and distribution centers before the firm opened the 68,000-square-foot facility down the street in 2013.
In a press release, Columbia Tech, a subsidiary of Westborough-based Coghlin Cos., said the new facility increases its manufacturing footprint by about 20%.
"The versatility of our manufacturing space is what gives us the flexibility and scalability to commercialize new large scale products in the most efficient manner possible with deep client collaboration,” said Chris Coghlin, president and CEO of the parent company, in the press release.
The site has already created more than 30 additional job opportunities, the company said.
