Cogmedix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Westborough-based Coghlin Companies Inc., announced Tuesday it is nearly complete with a 5,000-square-foot expansion of its Worcester facility at 17 Briden St.
The expansion will bring total manufacturing and office space at the plant to roughly 62,500 square feet, said Matt Giza, Cogmedix’s executive vice president and general manager.
Through the expansion, the company will be able to better assist its growing base of original equipment manufacturing customers and accommodate several new medical device manufacturing opportunities in the medical imaging, robotics, and surgical markets. It will also be able to accommodate a new engineering lab for a medical product design initiative that is currently underway.
The expansion is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2017, Giza said.
