An executive from one of the area’s largest technology companies will join Worcester medical device manufacturer Cogmedix.
David Fraser, formerly the vice president of manufacturing and worldwide materials at Hopkinton software firm EMC will join Cogmedix as the senior vice president of operations. EMC is part of Texas computer company Dell.
Fraser has more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including the last six in the role at EMC. Fraser will bring his knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement to Cogmedix to help streamline operations.
The company plans to unifty its manufacturing and supply chain operations under one executive “to further improve overall operational efficiency and deep focus on customer satisfaction and service advancement,” the company announced last week.
“He has a record of accomplishment in cost and cycle reductions, inventory efficiency, cross-functional team building, and mentoring future leaders,” said Matt Giza, Cogmedix executive vice president and general manager. “We are confident his skills will help take Cogmedix to new heights in operational excellence and scalable, profitable growth."
