Clinton Savings Bank has opened a new in-school branch at Tahanto Regional High School in Boylston.
The branch enables the bank to conduct a financial literacy program that will allow students to work as bank tellers, learning to take deposits and explaining various bank products under the supervision of bank staff.
“Our goal is to give students the kind of educational experience that genuinely prepares them for life after school,” Nadine Ekstrom, Berlin-Boylston public schools superintendent, said in a statement.
Robert Paulhus, the bank’s president and CEO, said CSB set up the branch to bolster its investment in the region.
“As a community bank, we have a responsibility to foster the long-term well-being of our friends and neighbors,” Paulhus said in a statement.
Tahanto will be Clinton’s second in-school branch, with the bank having opened its first at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton in 1989. CSB also has full-service branches in Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Sterling and West Boylston.
