Krav'nz Bakery and Café of Clinton has won the grand prize in the fourth annual business plan competition sponsored by the Mount Wachusett Community College Entrepreneurial Resource Center.
The bakery, run by Nancy Heron of Lancaster and Tim Lea of Sterling, will receive $7,300 in cash and in-kind business services like printing, web site service and professional memberships.
The café's winning business plan covers an addition to Compulaine's WiFi Café, located at 120 Union Street in Clinton. Heron and Lea are working with Compulaine owner Elaine Weymouth to expand the year-old café and computer service business.
Participants in the contest receive support from the resource center in developing their business plans and then compete for prizes by presenting their plans to a panel of judges.
First runner up in the contest was Cornerstone Performing Arts Center, a Fitchburg nonprofit theater center. The center received $2,800 in cash and services.
