Clark University has backed a White House based effort to establish best practices among business schools in an effort to expand opportunities for women in business.
The University’s Graduate School of Management is an official signatory on a national “best Practices for Business Schools” document that grew out of a White House summit in August. Clark’s Andrea Aiello, associate dean of the Graduate School of Management, took part in the meeting.
The document focuses on four areas: ensuring access to business schools and business careers; building a business school experience that prepares students for the workforce of tomorrow; ensuring career services that go beyond the needs of traditional students; and exemplifying how organizations should be run.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business developed the document after the summit, which was was organized by the Council on Women and Girls and the Council of Economic Advisors.
