Clark 10th best in country for adjuncts

Worcester’s Clark University is the 10th best college for adjunct faculty, based on a new report by the website Goodcall.com.

The site looked at nearly 300 colleges based on average monthly pay, pay relative to tenured and tenure-track faculty, cost of living for the area, student-teacher ratio, and student graduation rates.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute landed at 56th.

The average monthly salary for adjunct professors at Clark ($8,121) is among the best, as is its 83-percent student graduation rate. As with WPI, it is in an area deemed to have a high cost of living.

WPI ranked eighth best for adjunct faulty pay compared to that of tenured professors.

In Massachusetts, Boston College landed at 71st on the list. The University of Notre Dame came in at No. 1.
