Berkeley Investments Inc., the Boston-based developer of the CitySquare project in Worcester, has purchased two buildings in downtown Providence, R.I.
The buildings total 237,776 square feet of Class A and Class B office space. The developer bought the buildings from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, which is moving to a new location.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Berkeley said the buildings, its first investments in the Providence market, are located near 1-95 in an area undergoing redevelopment.
