City Seeks Help In Attracting Google Network

The City of Worcester is asking residents, institutions and businesses to support an application to make the city a pilot location for Google’s new ultra-high speed broadband network.

Google claims its network will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than most networks.

In a letter, City Manager Michael V. O’Brien said he was personally reaching out to ask for the community’s help in making “Woo-gle for Google” a reality.

The application and questionnaire in support of “Woo-gle for Google” can be found here.
