Worcester Citizens for Business is holding a meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, Sept. 14 with candidates for mayor, city council and school committee.
Among the politicians expected to attend are six incumbent city councilors, including Mayor Joseph O’Brien and 11 other council candidates, as well as five incumbent school committee members and one other committee candidate.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Worcester Fitness, at 440 Grove St. in Worcester.
Worcester Citizens For Business advocates changes to the city’s tax rates, which are now higher for businesses than for residents.
