CI in line for funding

The state bond commission is expected to approve $3 million in bonding for the partial recapitalization of Connecticut Innovations when it meets this Friday.

State Sen. Gary LeBeau, D-East Hartford, who is co-chairman of the Commerce Committee, said that CI is a crucial element in helping create industry in Connecticut and described the capital as “essential.” The Commerce Committee initially debated the recapitalization bill last year and it received support from other organizations such as CURE and the University of Connecticut’s Office of Technology Commercialization.
