An evangelical Christian church renewed its lease Tuesday for nearly 30,000 square feet of space in a Franklin warehouse building.
New England Chapel saved 75 cents per square foot by renewing one year before the lease was to expire, said James Stubblebine, vice president of The Stubblebine Company/CORFAC International, which represented the chapel. The renewal will keep New England Chapel at 40 Kenwood Circle for several more years.
Stubblebine declined to reveal the duration and amount of the lease.
The church has agreed to complete a substantial renovation of the administrative, classroom and chapel areas, according to the real estate firm.
The church occupies less than a third of the space in the building, part of the Kenwood Industrial Park.
