By day, Anderson works in the Worcester city manager’s office handling special events put on by the city and on city property, ensuring the people who visit the city leave with a positive perception of it. This experience was key when Anderson became one of the driving forces behind POW! WOW! Worcester, which brought international and local artists together for an over weeklong celebration of the arts primarily through public, street art that spanned from multi-story murals to hidden gems.
According to Ecotarium President Joe Cox, Anderson’s ability to connect people and draw them into the project was crucial to orchestrating the multi-day event. And that event has brought attention to Worcester on an international scale.
