Chase bank will open its first Worcester bank branch in September.
The division of New York City financial powerhouse JPMorgan Chase & Co. opened its first branch in Massachusetts in Boston in 2018 and has 36 branches statewide. The closest branches to Worcester are in Framingham and Acton.
The 3,000-square-foot Worcester branch office at 81 Gold Star Blvd. will be full service, offering a Chase private client team, home lending services, and business banking , the company announced on Tuesday.
Chase plans to double its presence in Massachusetts by 2025, including opening its first Springfield branch next year.
“Branches are critically important to our customers, but our mission goes beyond service and convenience. We’re hiring locally, investing in the community, and bringing all the benefits our firm has to offer to drive economic growth,” Racquel Oden, head of consumer bank network expansion at JPMorgan Chase, said in the press release.
