Charter and its Worcester television station Charter TV3 have launched a website that provides health care information to area residents.
The website, called Worcester.MD, will provide information on area providers and also has a physician rating and patient feedback features. Local health care experts will be featured regularly on the local station’s news program, Worcester News Tonight.
Worcester.MD represents a partnership between Charter and YourCity.MD, a hyper-local health care platform with more than 500 websites nationwide. The Worcester website will be the first YourCity.MD in New England.
Charter said the partnership capitalizes on the fact that 80 percent of internet users search for answers to health care questions online, according to Pew Research Center.
