Chacharone Properties of Worcester sold an 111,200-square-foot office building which houses Charter Communications in Worcester for $13.8 million, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
In a deal closing Nov. 4, the building at 301 Barber Ave. along I-190 sold to Redgate, a real estate firm headquartered in Boston.
The deal marks a $10-million increase from its last sale in 2014, when Chacharone bought the property after a Sam’s Club relocated out of the space. The building was renovated to become the technical support and employee training facility for Charter Communications, Inc., the Stamford, Conn. telecommunications company which owns Spectrum cable and internet services.
Charter will remain in the space through the sale, a spokesperson from Chacharone Properties confirmed.
Assessed by the City of Worcester at $7.3 million, the property neighbors the former Greendale Mall, which is set to be converted into an Amazon warehouse.
